Shutterfly positive…..???

The horse of Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, crowned champion of Europe of jump of obstacles last Sunday in Mannheim, underwent a positive control antidopage at the time of the training course of drive of the German team, at the beginning of August (a blood test on August 5, and a urinary test 5 days afterwards). These tests revealed traces of triamcinolone (a corticoide), used within the framework of the treatment of a pain to a knee of Shutterfly. Information was confirmed by Mr Reinhard Wendt, president of the German federation. According to the President, this test will not affect the classification of the championships of Europe because this product had been mentioned on the medical booklet of the horse at the beginning of the competition, and it had been authorized to contribute. Markus Beerbaum, the husband of the champion is not really anxious of the revelation: “This result is not a surprise for us. We had indicated this treatment as a preliminary.”
