A segunda posição foi para Royal Auclair seguido de Simply Gifted.

O favorito Forest Gunner, montado pela amazona Carrie Ford ficou na 5ª posição.

Ruby Walsh com Papillon que venceu esta prova em 2000, estava satisfeito pela sua 2ª vitória no Grand National.
