Jessica Kuerten requests the B Sample

Jessica Kuerten was informed by the FEI at the end of July that a medication sample drawn from the mare Castle Forbes Maike at the CSIO La Baule in France tested positive for a banned substance. The FEI offered to drop the legal proceedings involving the Irish rider against a fine of 500 Swiss Francs. This option is available from the FEI when the medication case is classified as minor or slight. Jessica Kuerten has waived the offer from the FEI and has requested that the B sample be opened. “We have never heard of the substance that has been found”, said Eckard Kuerten, Jessica´s husband, the reason they would like to have this matter properly cleared. Jessica Kuerten has hired the Swiss lawyer Ulf Walz to represent her interests in this case.
