Winter Hanoverian Auction with an outstandig result

The Hanoverian auction year started with an outstanding result.

The 82 auction horses of the Winter Auction in Verden were sold at an average auction sales price of Euro 15,284.

This was Euro 1,500 more than last year, and it is by far the highest average sales price ever achieved at a winter auction until now. The youngsters were very popular, the demand very high and the customers in an excellent buying mood. “The market needs horses as they are offered in Verden,” breeding manager Dr. Werner Schade said.

Top-priced horse was the Adlantico As/Contender-daughter Albany (breeder and exhibitor: Peter Broka, Worpswede) for which a Russian customer paid Euro 40,000. For the moment, the jumper will stay in the Verden Training and Sales Centre to be prepared for advanced level sport. The purchaser at the telephone was influenced by the fantastic atmosphere in the well-crowded Niedersachsenhalle as he bought six more futurity prospects. Top-priced dressage horse was the number one of the auction. Riesling by Rascalino/De Niro (breeder and exhibitor: Edelhard Lampe, Evershorst) found a new owner in Italy at Euro 33,000.

The price structure was perfect. Twelve Hanoverians were sold at more than Euro 25,000, more than half of the collection achieved prices between Euro 11,000 and Euro 25,000. There was already a tremendous interest in the varied collection in the run-up to the auction.

41 horses will stay in Germany, 41 were sold abroad. “Everything was perfect,” auction manager Dr. Günther Friemel happily said. “We are proud and glad about the result.”
