VII International Show Jumping (CSI***) to be held this weekend in Portimão

Riders from 15 countries will be taking part in the VII International Show jumping Competition of Portimão, (CSI3*) which will be held in the Belmonte Riding Centre in Portimão, Algarve, between 21st and 24th September.

On the last day of the event, the “Grand Prix City of Portimão”, will take place and will distribute prize money of 26,500 €. The Grand Prix will be televised for later broadcast on RTP2.

It is expected that some of the best riders from 15 countries, Germany, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Spain, France, Philippines, Holland, Italy, Israel, Malta, Norway and Portugal will be competing in the 12 classes.

Portugal will be represented by some of the best Portuguese riders amongst them, Francisco Rocha from Portimão, João Chuva, Marina Frutuoso de Melo, Luís Sabino Gonçalves and António Portela Carneiro, current National Champion.
