At her parents Hans and Sissi Max-Theurer’s beautiful venue in Achleiten, 21 year old Victoria Max-Theurer was the winner of the Austrian national championships dressage. The successful rider that came twelfth in the Freestyle at the European Championships two weeks ago now showed her master Falcao to a phenomenal 77,150% in the Freestyle. A great end to a great season, and the fifth Austrian title already for favourite Vicci.
Runner up was Hannes Mayr, also second best Austrian rider in the team for the EC. His mare Ellis did a wonderful job, thus confirming their form that brought them the position in the Austrian squad for the EC.
After a long pause due to health problems 16 year old Davidoff made his appearance in the show arena again partnered by Renate Vogelsang from Vienna. The pair that in 2003 and 2005 represented Austria at the European championships, was happy now to reach third place in the Grand Prix. However in the Freestyle another rider from Vienna claimed the third place and also the bronze honours in the Austrian championships, Eva-Maria Bachinger aboard Palazzo.
