The Hanoverian May-Auction on May 5, 2007, finished with a very satisfactory result.
In total 68 riding horses were auctioned off at an average auction sales price of Euro 13,091 which is a new average record at this kind of auction.
The grey stallion Cavalitto by Contendro/Picard (breeder and exhibitor: Cornelia Peters, Moormerland) was the price highlight and sold for Euro 34,000 on the phone to Spain.
The excellent average auction price results from a top price that was no price runaway,” auction manager Rainer Kiel said. He was very satisfied with the price structure. Most Hanoverian horses were sold at prices between Euro 8,000 and 15,000.
The export rate was exceptionally high: 43 horses will leave Germany (63%). The biggest foreign buyer was Sweden (10 horses), followed by the United States and Great Britain (each seven horses). Two Hanoverian horses will travel to Chile.
Like at the last 116th Elite Auction, jumper stallion Contendro is the sire of the most expensive horse.
Donnas Glück by Don Bosco/Glückspilz (breeder and exhibitor: Hans-Heinrich Schmidt, Hänigsen) was the top-priced dressage horse. Dutch customers paid Euro 32,000 for the mare.
