The 40th Elite Foal and Broodmare Auction of the Hannoveraner Verband will be held on Saturday, August 16, in Verden.
152 foals and ten broodmares will be put up for auction. It will be the first time that the auction will be held on one day only. The new selection procedure is meant to focus even more on quality so as to present a particularly outstanding Elite collection.
The first presentation of the auction candidates will start in the morning as of 9.00 am, enabling the customers from Germany and abroad to get a first impression of the whole collection. A customer-friendly concept that pays off!
The foal collection features 62 fillies and 90 colts. The pedigrees are exemplary and promise outstanding properties. Many interesting stallions are represented on the paternal side of the pedigrees: the 2012 Bundeschampion Franziskus who will compete at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses with Ingrid Klimke, will present seven offspring. Dressage highlights will also be progeny of the sires Dante Weltino, Metall, Tomahawk and Scuderia. Two celebrated stallions everybody is talking about are represented the first time at a Verden auction: Belantis and Sezuan.
The pedigrees of the show jumping foals leave no desires open: The youngest jumpers descend from internationally successful dam lines and successfully competing sires. There has been no end to the successful series in advanced level jumper classes of Glock’s London and Gerco Schröder. He presents his first Verden auction foal under his breeding name Carembar de Muz. The full brother of the licensed stallion Lemwerder by Lordanos is also put up for auction as well as four progeny by Zinedine who is successful in international jumper courses with Ludger Beerbaum.
Ten broodmares will complete the collection. There will be state premium mares and Hanoverian state premium candidates offered for sale. The four two-year-olds were honoured with first-class prizes, and the three- and four-year-olds are, for example, bred to Damon Hill, Finest, Lord Pizzaro, Chaccato and Diacontinus.
The auction brochure will be released as of July 25. At the same time, the whole foal and broodmare collection will be available online including description, photos and video clips.
