The licensed breeding stallion Conthargos has passed away

The showjumping stallion Conthargos had to be put down at the age of 19 due to a sudden onset of laminitis, which unfortunately could not be treated by the vets who were called in immediately.

With his already Olympic offspring, the Converter son, who was stabled at the stallion station of his breeder Paul Schockemöhle in Mühlen all his life, was able to make a splendid impression. Numerous offspring have been successful in show jumping all over the world, such as Conchento PS, who placed in the Grand Prix of St. Tropez/FRA, London/GBR, Geneva/SUI, Valence/FRA and Vilamoura/POR under Gregory Wathelet/BEL and Luciana Diniz/POR, Concona, who placed sixth in the Grand Prix of Hamburg under Ben Maher/GBR, and Cosa Nostra, who took part in the Olympic Games with Alberto Michan/ISR. But the offspring of Conthargo are not only among the best in the show-jumping ring, but also in eventing. Jadore Moi and Sophie Leube won the CCIO4* event in Boekelo/NED and came sixth at the DM in Lumühlen.

Conthargos himself won the Deister Championships on the Dobrock in 2008 as a four-year-old with a score of 9.5 and easily qualified for the Bundeschampionat in 2009. Due to injury, he could not continue his own career. This is done in his place by his offspring. More than 20 of his sons were licensed, among them the OS Champion Stallion and main premium winner Conthalou, who is also shown by Paul Schockemöhle, and his pit neighbour in Mühlen, Continental Blue, who placed first in Grand Prix competitions. Currently in Westphalia a son of Conthargo was jumping champion and another 2nd reserve champion.

The OS-stallion Conthargos is bred through Converter, Carthago, Latus I and Sandro in a direct line of value. His dam Cajandra Z produced a number of international show jumpers, including Chacjandra (by Chacco-Blue) and Afrika (by Converter I)/among others Werner Muff/SUI, who were successful in 1.60 m show jumping competitions.
