The British Open Show Jumping Championships on standy

The organizers of the British Open Show Jumping Championships, Grandstand Event Management, has advised that they will not be running the British Open Show Jumping Championships in 2011.

High investments within the past eight years had been undertaken to have a larger venue (move to the NEC Birmingham in 2007) and to make this event a well-established one within the annual equestrian calendar.

But due to a lack of sponsors and visitors the British Open Show Jumping Championships had not been profitable.

Therefore, a pause is needed to reconsider the future of this event.
