The battle of the Titans!

The list of riders at the international Season Opening at GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER from January 29th till February 1st, 2015 is raising equestrian sports aficionados’ pulses. Since the cohort of participants of around 100 athletes from 20 different countries is nothing less than a true star parade of equestrian sports!

The elite group is lead by Max Kuehner (AUT), Jamie Kermond (AUS) and Amy Graham (AUS). Not only are they internationally well known stars in the saddle, they were also able to win the Gaston Glock’s Championat of Salzburg and Magna Racino. Now they also want their shot at victory at the GHPC itself.

And they are certainly not alone with this ambitious objective. Because this is also what GLOCK Rider Gerco Schroeder (NED) has in his sights. The double world champion and silver medal winner in the Olympic games will be taking three horses to his ‘home event’ and is participating in both the CSI3* and the CSIYH1*.

As a German eventing star leaning towards show jumping, Michael Jung will be coming to Treffen for the first time. This double Olympic winner, world champion as well as five-times European champion doesn’t want to miss out on the top-notch Season Opening. Nor does John Whitaker, winner of 18 medals in Olympic games, world and European championships, who will this year turn sixty. Having triumphed at both GLOCK’s Grand Prix of 2013 and 2014, he is certainly now aiming for the GHPC hat-trick.

Swiss junior rider Martin Fuchs is aiming to repeat his GLOCK’s Grand Prix victory of 2012. But the 22 year old rider will have to go up against tough competition from his own country, because Olympic winner Steve Guerdat, European champion Pius Schwizer and elite squad rider Paul Estermann will be saddling their best horses for the event at the GHPC.

Currently ranking 42nd world-wide, through his participation Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) will add some Mediterranean spirit and three fast horses. Meanwhile, Austrian riders including Stefanie Bistan, Stefan Eder and Hugo Simon will be able to count on support from the local audience.
