At the Stallion Licensing and Horse Fair on 8th – 11th March at MCH Messecenter Herning, as a new initiative the 4-year-old dressage and jumper stallions were shown under rider before the final licensing Sunday afternoon.
The collection of 4-year-old dressage stallions consisted of four out of five premium stallions from last year’s licensing. Last year’s champion and performance test winner, “ERA Dancing Hit” died a month ago, but was honored post mortem this weekend with the breeder’s medal in gold. It is only the fifth time a Danish Warmblood stallion is rewarded gold.
The title as champion of the 4-year-old dressage stallions went to the Danish bred “Zonik”, who was also appointed the “Aage Ravn Challenge Trophy” as well as the breeder’s medal in silver. Zonik is bred by Linette Jæger and owned by Helgstrand Dressage.
Amongst the 4-year-old jumper stallions the title as champion was claimed by last year’s performance test winner, the German bred “Chandler”, who is owned by Stud Højagergaard.
