The 131st Elite Auction of the Hannoveraner Verband will be held in the Verden Niedersachsenhalle on October 10 and 11. 68 sports horses and 46 foals will be put up for auction.
The auction collection features stars of today and celebrities of tomorrow.
Title hero of the auction brochure is the internationally successful jumper Codex One who started his career in Verden. The Contendro/Glückspilz-son is meanwhile one of the most successful jumpers worldwide with German Christian Ahlmann. He competed at Olympic Games and World and European Championships.
Following the Stallion Licensing and Stallion Sales, he was sold at the age of four at the 114th Elite Auction to be further advanced by Karl Brocks. Codex One changed to Christian Ahlmann’s stable in 2011. Recent successes are the victories at the Aachen and Valkenswaard Grand Prix.
The collection of riding horse and foals justifies the classification “elite”. Many auction horses already confirmed their value with successes achieved at dressage and show jumping competitions. The dressage collection promises special quality. Many of the 39 dressage youngsters already shined with own accomplishments, with part of them already having participated at the Finals of the Bundeschampionate.
Performance qualities dominate the show jumping collection. 29 athletes are represented in the show jumping collection. Many of the young jumpers descend from successful sires. The collection is complemented by 46 foals.
The 30 colts and 16 fillies descend from 41 different stallions. The foals with arrive in Verden on Saturday, October 11 and presented as of 1.00 pm. Following the auction of riding horses, the foals will be put up for auction as of approx. 6.30 pm.
The official auction training will start on Monday, September 29. On Wednesday, October 8, there will be celebrities in the Niedersachsenhalle. Wolfram Wittig will demonstrate his philosophy, his work basics and his aids when it comes to the training of young dressage horses. Auction trainer Hartmut Kettelhodt will lead the presentation of dressage horses and Wolfram Wittig will explain the training level of the auction horses, based on the principles of classical training.
The Gala Evening Show will be traditionally held on Friday, October 10, as of 8.00 pm. Henner Höschen will lead through the equestrian evening, presenting highlights from the Hanoverian sports world and around the Verden auction horse.
