Organized by the Academie de Dressage de Portugal at Quinta da Pataca in Arruda dos Vinhos, a Riding to Music International Forum will take place between the 22nd a 26th October.
Through a panel of the most distinguished personalities (Mariette Whitages, Kyra Kyrklund, Steven Clark, Jan Bellemens, Case Slings,Monica Theodorescu, etc.) some essential topics as History and Philosophy of Riding to Music, FEI Rules for Freestyle, Freestyle Production or Selecting Music will be present and discuss, from theory to practical demonstrations(from ponies to Grand Prix).
The unique combination of horse riding together with music is a moment that excels and combines art and sport.
Riding to Music will be the first international forum consecrated to Music Freestyle and its importance as away of attracting people to Dressage. The Riding to Music forum goal is to discuss, enlightened, and finding ways of improving the unique and difficult combination creating Music freestyle.
The creation of choreography where horse and rider abilities are valorised; where horses movements and gaits are put together with the specific bit of music (on time) and where the horses qualities are enlightened will be the starting point to this forum. In order to achieve this goal, all people implicated in Free-style to Music will be involved: riders,trainers, judges, musicians, and the media.
