Marco Kutscher’s mount ‘Cash’ injured

The German show jumping horses left for Kentucky this Sunday at 6 o’clock in the morning. But before the plane took off, bad news arose. Marco Kutscher’s mount Cash is injured. At present it is not even certain whether he will be able to compete in Kentucky.

According to the German Equestrian Federation (FN) Marco Kutscher and his gelding Cash are in danger of being withdrawn from the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, as the 14-year old gelding sustained a contusion at the coffin joint at his right front leg.

This means that only Plot Blue (from Marcus Ehning), Checkmate (from Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum), Corradina (from Carsten-Otto Nagel) and the horse from reserve rider Janne-Friederike Meyer, Lambrasco, will start the journey to Lexington.

According to the FN further decisions will be made on Monday. They will then decide whether Cash or another horse will head for Kentucky.
