We were overwhelmed by the number of e-mail messages received from Spain, Belgium, Germany and Portugal enquiring about Leonor's recovery after her serious accident last month. It is indeed with pleasure, that we transcribe a message received by Equisport from Leonor, this Sunday.
“In line with the news of the equestrian world published by Equisport, I would like to thank Equisport for their best wishes regarding my recovery and inserted in January 2006. No doubt we as riders face daily potentially dangerous situations with our horses. Unfortunately it is only when an accident occurs that we are able to evaluate this.
However, I was able once again to learn from this noble and strong animal, that is imperative that we be attentive and respectful to their constant signs and needs, be it in a management, equine care or a work situation.
As a good friend often says, and I quote “it was not your time” and my reply: “of course not, I still have much to learn from my horses”.
Once again my sincere thanks to you all who were so kind and thoughtful to enquire about my wellbeing. I do hope I will meet you soon.
