Las Vegas delays payment of prize money

The majority of riders that participated in the million dollar Las Vegas World International last October, have not been paid out their prize money.

Financial problems have led to a delay in riders receiving their Las Vegas prize money as a new show in Dubai is set to steal the «richest show» title from Las Vegas.

Show president David Shriner commented that additional unexpected expenses were incurred and he anticipated the problem would soon be resolved so as not to jeopardize the event in 2006.

Meanwhile the Las Vegas World International is set to lose it´s place as the world´s richest jumping show, after the Dubai Equestrian Club announced The Maktoum Challenge, which will take place in January next year with a prize fund of US$1,250,000 (1,066.478 €).
