Kyra Kyrklund has been reigning in the big tour at the international show in Addington. Aboard the Swedish bred Max she won both the Grand Prix and the Freestyle. While the “big stars” were competing in Las Vegas, Kyrklund was the shining star in the beautiful surroudings of Addington Manor, Buckinghamshire.
Last year winners Dutch Christa Laarakkers partnering the KWPN gelding Ovation were two times runner up now. Maria Eilberg, who was so successful during the recent Spanish Sunshine Tour, was placed fourth in the GP and third in the Freestyle aboard Two Sox.
Fiona Bigwood was showing her new ride Wie Atlantico. The 10-year Hannoverian gelding by Wie Weltmeyer was sold by Spanish rider Juan Matute last November. Fiona hopes to have a new candidate for the British Grand Prix team and be back in the team after the loss of Mr G de Lully.
