KWPN Stallion Show: Enjoy Benefits of Dutch > English Translation Service

Back by popular demand, the KWPN will once again offer its translation service at the 2011 KWPN Stallion Show. The service allows spectators to hear the judges’ comments translated into English via a wireless headset.

Each year, the KWPN receives positive feedback from its foreign guests about how the translation service gives them special insight into the stallion selection process not available elsewhere. It also contributes to their overall enjoyment of the KWPN Stallion Show.

Translation will be provided by Marji McFadden, M.A., a professional Dutch>English translator and native English speaker, specializing in the international horse world.

In addition to translating for the KWPN since late 2005, she has translated four major equestrian books: Totilas: The Living Legend by Jacob Melissen, Ride Horses with Awareness and Feel by Tineke and Joep Bartels; Selecting the Dressage Horse by Dirk Willem Rosie with Anky van Grunsven; and The Simplicity of Dressage by Johann Hinnemann and Coby van Baalen.

A limited number of headsets is available, so be sure to order early! Each headset is rented for the entire KWPN Stallion Show at a reasonable charge of € 100.00 (plus a € 50.00 refundable deposit). Headsets are available for pick up at the KWPN Information Desk on the opening day of the Stallion Show.
