Kurten waives right to horse doping hearing

Irish rider Jessica Kurten has waived the right to a hearing before the FEI Tribunal in the positive medication case involving the horse Castle Forbes Maike.

The hearing, initially scheduled to take place on 21 February 2008, has consequently been cancelled.

Kurten's legal counsel has received the complete file of evidence from the FEI.

The initial deadline for answering that brief was set for 4 February and then extended to 21 February upon request of the rider.

All documents will then be submitted to the FEI Tribunal who will have 28 days to issue their decision.
