After the Grand Prix Karin Tebar of France felt disappointed in herself because she herself as she made riding mistakes.
“It was my fault to make the transition passage-canter to the wrong canter and to make mistakes in the two tempi changes”, Karin said. “The only thing I felt happy for after my Grand Prix, was the very good form which my mare showed.
In the Special we both took our chances and grew into the occasion! I felt very very happy with Falada, as she really always wants to do the best for me. If I am without mistakes in my riding, she is. That’s wonderful. The piaffe and passage-tour was like a dream. Also the canter part was very very nice today. This is something I had never dreamed of, beating the best in Germany…”
Youngest competitor from Austria
Among a strong and experienced German field also the youngest Austrian competitor ever in Olympic Games took part in the nice Dortmund Horseshow in the Westfalenhallen. Victoria Max-Theurer did ride her ‘master’ Agrigento with the proud age of 20 years old in top-form to the fourth place in the Freestyle yesterday. The music she did choose for this freestyle was ‘17 Jahr, blondes Jahr’ (17 years, a blond age’) by Udo Jürgens. With her Olympic horse Falcao she competed in the Grand Prix Special. Her aims are now on building up Falcao for the WEG.
