Published in the newsletter nº 258, dated 14th April 2008, the APSL has just confirmed that the “supposed” offspring of the Lusitano stallion “Jupiter” are not offspring of his.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese Association of the Lusitano Horse (APSL) has ruled for the immediate suspension of the horse “Jupiter”, as well as its entire offspring from the Lusitano Stud-Book.

Dear Sirs,
In consideration of the confirmation of the DNA result of the horse “Jupiter” as being “incompatible with presumed parents”, only received at the end of March 2008, we rule for the immediate suspension of the horse “Jupiter” from the Lusitano stud-book and consequently the suspension from the stud-book of its entire offspring pending further proof or confirmation of paternity.
