Julien Epaillard claims the Grand Prix Telefonica in La Corunna

Thirteen combinations with clear rounds went through to the second round of the GP Telefonica, the most important class of the CSI***** La Corunna. After many exciting rounds, Julien Eppaillard from France claimed the Grand Prix Telefonica.

At the prize giving ceremony, together with Epaillard, his wife had also an important role receiving a silver plate as
Icare du Manet's proprietor, the winning horse.

Icare du Manet was spectacular jumping the course designed by the German course builder Frank Rothenberger assisted by the Spaniard Javier Trenor.

Thirteen horses had clear rounds without faults, among them was the Spanish Rutherford Latham, who in the second phase beat the time established by Jeroen Dubbeldam. However, an error in the Rolex Oxer added four faults. Even so Latham received the ADT Trophy as the best placed Spanish rider in this class.

The only rider that was able to beat the Gold in Sidney and Gold by Teams in the World games in Aquisgran was Epaillard, who was the penultimate rider into go to the arena. He took an advantage of 3 seconds over Dubbeldam´s time, who was placed second.

The other riders that completed the list of winners were the French Robert Breul, the young Belgian rider Judy Ann Melchior and the Brazilian Bernardo Alves.
