International Show Jumping CSI3*/1* of Saint-Lô – Selle Français Stallions Championships
The traditional International Show Jumping of Saint Lô (Normandy, France) between the 24th and 27th October, will this year be matched with the French National Selle Français Stallions Championships to make one of the most important events for sport horses in France. Saint Lô will be anyway the only 3 stars jumping in Normandy this year, just one week before the major event of Equita' Lyon (CSI5*). That means a perfect way for top international riders to prepare their horses for the indoor season.
2 international competitions
Saint Lô will welcome two show jumping events : a 1 star (1 horse per rider, 50 riders accepted), and a 3 stars (3 horses per rider). There will be 3 classes counting for the FEI Longines world ranking, all in the CSI3*: a first one on Friday afternoon (n°3), one on Saturday afternoon (n°6), both qualifying for the Sunday Grand Prix (n°9). The 6 bars (puissance class) will this year take place on Friday evening.
The best Selle Français horses
The Selle Français stud book, currently individual 1st in the world (thanks to CF Myrtille Paulois) and 3rd (by stud book), organizes its national championships for 2 & 3yo males on Thursday and Friday. There will be 2 new competitions dedicated to Selle Français horses: the L'Eperon Masters for Selle Français Stallions from 4 to 7yo (in 2 rounds on Friday and Saturday), and the Masters Elite Selle Français (on Saturday evening). This last class will gather the 15 best Selle Français horses of 8yo and more, participating to the show, and will distribute 20,000€.
New equipment and new ground
The local authorities financed the complete renovation of the equestrian complex of Saint Lô. After the covered stables 4 years ago, horses and riders will benefit from a covered way from warm up arena to show arena, a new lounging arena beside the warm up, and above all, a brand new sand ground in the indoor arena, built by the French specialist Toubin & Clement.
Best equipment for top sport, that's what Normandy can do at least to welcome the best horses and riders!
