Henk Van de Pol wins the third International Grand Prix

After winning the most important test on Friday, the Dutch Van de Pol Henk got the victory at the Cruzcampo Grand Prix today riding Chesterfield.

Two Spaniards passed to the jump-off, Rutherford Latham who made a clear round, and Manuel Añón who knocked down two jumps. The competition will resume next Tuesday with the classes for young horses.

The third week of the Sunshine Tour came to an end. Up to 60 combinations competed at the Cruzcampo Grand Prix, among which, only nine went through to the jump-off. Riders rode at a top level, cause of that, there was up to nine of them in jump-off.

The unstoppable Laura Renwick was the first rider who had a clear round in the jump-off. The Briton completed the course with “Brief Oz” in 46.19 seconds which gave her the third position.

Frenchman Michel Robert, who has taken part in seventeen out of eighteen editions of Sunshine Tour, finished second with “Kaloe des Perrieres” in a fantastic 45.93 seconds.

The final victory was for the Dutch rider Henk Van de Pol, who had already won the Invitational last week, and rode brilliantly to complete a clear round in an outstanding time of 44.99 seconds, which finally gave him a dramatic first place.
