Guy Williams faster and faster

After the first two 1 star classes won by French riders Sylvain Montigny and Emmanuel Vincent, the first class of the 3 stars competition saw a large field of 100 riders riding for the first time in the indoor arena.

The first class of the 3 stars competition (CSI3*) at Saint-Lô, Normandy, France, saw a clear domination of one of the best British riders. 27th to go, Guy Williams (GBR) started last night with a French bred mare named Plise…quite a French phonetically read of the English word “please”, and without any doubt a joke of its breeders Mr and Mrs Lorin, based in Jullouville…in the Manche county, please! The rider of Her Majesty finally caught the victory thanks to the fastest time in this Ibis-Mercure-Etap Hotels Prize…but with his second horse Larino 0087, improving his time by 5 seconds.

Damien Haelterman (BEL) and Wabelle de Muze come on the podium at the 2nd place. 4 Belgian riders ranked among the 10 best ones. The first French rider was Charlotte Gastaldi riding Khan des Grez (4th).

CSI1*

Class n°1 – Ouest France Prize (1,20m)
The Norman Sylvain Montigny riding Mondeenne du Lys is the faster with a clear round and wins this Ouest France Prize which opened this 2012 edition. The Belgian rider Geoffrey Cobbaut (Audi's Cinderella Z) finished 2nd just before the French Grégoire Hercelin (Safary du Ouchy). A the 9th place we find the American rider Aimee Aron with Connery and 12th thanks to the Swiss Anne Sophie Destree with Tarius du Ban.

Class n°2 – Semilly Stud Prize (1,30m)
Another hard battle against the clock into the Semilly prize (CSI* – 1,30m). At the end three French riders get the three first places. The winner is Emmanuel Vincent (Obligee de Vains), Edward Levy (Puissance du Jouas) 2nd and Alban Notteau (Magic de France) 3rd. All in the same second.
