The Lusitano Olympic dressage stallion Guizo owned by Enrique Guerrero has passed away unexpectedly this week-end following a colic attack.
Under the Spaniard Juan António Jimenez, Guizo competed at the Athens Olympic Games (2004) and won team silver. At the Sydney Olympics (2000) were 5º in the team event. The combination competed in the 4th WEG in Jerez de la Fronteira and won team bronze (2002), and in the 5th WEG at Aachen 2006. The pair competed also in two European Championships and at Hagen won the team bronze medal.
A great loss for the Spanish dressage world.
