Gucci Paris Masters 2013: A Dream Line-Up in a Unique Setting for Four Unforgettable Days

The Gucci Paris Masters will take place from 5th to 8th December 2013 during the Paris Horse Show, and will bring together the very best riders in the world. The stars are set to shine once again, in Hall 5b of the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.

For its 5th edition, the Parisian competition promises an exceptional program of competitive show jumping worthy of its prestigious reputation, as the world's 25 top riders and a host of equestrian-loving celebrities come together to provide another superb spectacle in front of packed grandstands. Altogether, no fewer than 125 participants will be taking part in three levels of international competitions over four days, with total prize money of one million dollars.

Thursday 5th December will be a special “Open Day”, where visitors can come along for free, watch the events, admire the greatest names in show jumping as they warm-up in the paddock, and take a stroll around the Prestige Village. The grand opening event will take place in the evening: at the gala of the Nuit du Cheval, the HORSEMUSIC show, international well-known artists such as Jean-François Pignon and Gregory Ancelotti will perform.

The Masters (CSI5*) will feature the champions of the discipline in a series of seven top-class events, including: the spectacular Longines Speed Challenge (Friday 6th December at 10pm), the highly anticipated Battle of the Sexes (Saturday 7th December at 10.15pm) and the prestigious Gucci Grand Prix (Sunday 8th December at 3pm).

The Prestige Trophy (CSI2*) and the Invitational Trophy (CSI1*) will bring together professional riders, amateurs and horse-riding personalities such as Guillaume Canet, Julien Courbet, Benjamin Castaldi and Jennifer Gates.

Meanwhile, there will be jumping for the very best of causes too, with the unmissable Style & Competition for AMADE (Saturday 7th December at 8pm). Top level riders and amateurs will pair up in teams to raise money for the World Association of Children's Friends (AMADE), whose President is H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover.

And while the Gucci Paris Masters is proud to attract equestrian fans in ever greater numbers each year, it is also hugely popular with children, with special events and entertainment traditionally laid on for younger visitors. This year, there will be a dedicated village with a host of activities including colouring and face-

painting, a pony box where the children can come face to face with the horses, as well as unforgettable opportunities to meet their sporting heroes in person.

In addition to the 21 sporting events, the 50,000 spectators expected to attend this year's meeting can visit the Prestige Village. There, 25 well-known brands will be represented alongside the event's lead partner, Gucci, which will be opening a temporary boutique specially for the occasion. Luxury and glamour are guaranteed once again this year, providing sparkle to match the sporting performances on display.
