Gribaldi, the 17-year-old Trakehner stallion (Kostolany—Gondola II), has retired to stud during the 2010 KWPN Stallion Licensing in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, on Friday, 5th February.
A successful Grand Prix horse ridden by Edward Gal, Gribaldi has not shown since the spring of 2007 when Gal withdrew him at the Dutch Dressage Championships because of behavioural issues.
Gribaldi’s offspring have proved him to be an influential sire. He is a Trakehner Elite Sire and a KWPN Keur stallion. He’s produced 10 licensed sons including top dressage horses such as Edward Gal’s current superstar Moorlands Totilas and Anky van Grunsven’s IPS Painted Black.
