Goldfever retires

Only the absolutely top horses in the world are officially retired from the sport at the CHIO Aachen.

This year Ludger Beerbaum's “Goldfever” ended his career in Aachen and did his final lap of honour through the CHIO main stadium on Sunday, the last day of the show (July 5th).

“The CHIO Aachen is the best show in the world. The Aachen Soers was always like Goldfever's home territory. He always enjoyed presenting himself in front of a big crowd, he feels at home here,” said Ludger Beerbaum. Among others, Goldfever won the Grand Prix of Aachen, today the ROLEX Grand Prix, in 2002 and 2003.

Goldfever will spend the rest of his life in his familiar environment at Beerbaum's Yard in Riesenbeck, Westphalia and is still at stud.
