First Horse Inspection – Show Jumpers at Windsor

Ninety one horses came forward for the First Horse Inspection at the Alltech FEI European Jumping & Dressage Championships at Windsor Castle (UK).

Eighty nine horses passed the inspection and two horses have been held for reinspection.

Capoccino (no. 114) the ride of Rossen Raitchev (BUL) and Evli Cagliostro (no. 125) the ride of Noora Forsten (FIN) will be inspected again tomorrow.

Eighteen teams will contest the show jumping championships that start tomorrow evening. At the first Championships in Rotterdam in 1957 there

were only eight riders from five nations. German rider Hans Gunter Winkler On Sonnenglanz won gold and he is still the only show jumper to win five

Olympic Gold medals.
