Dubbeldam wins Grand Prix in Spruce Meadows

The Dutch show jumper Jeroen Dubbeldam won the Grand Prix at the Masters in Spruce Meadows, Canada riding his mount Simon. With this victory Dubbeldam received a cheque amounting to $ 325.000.

Jeroen Dubbeldam and BMC van Grunsven Simon had just one time penalty point resulting from two tough rounds in the difficult courses built by Leopoldo Palacios. The pair was the big winner in the 1-million-Dollar competition in Spruce Meadows.

The American rider Richard Spooner and Cristallo finished in runner-up position and received a cheque amounting to $ 200.000. Canada’s local hero Eric Lamaze and his Hickstead came in third with a total of 7 penalty points in the second round.

The Dutch Gerco Schröder and Eurocommerce New Orleans finished fourth and British show jumper Robert Smith and Talan came in on fifth place.
