Daniel Deusser will still attend Hamburg

The regional court of Münster has invalidated the decision of the German Federation (Deutsche Reiterliche Verein) in the case of Daniel Deusser. He now has been given permission to start at the international show in Hamburg, which started today (Wednesday).

The German federation had retrieved Desser’s starting license for five months because of a possible doping matter. In Wellington, Florida, one of his horses tested positive for the substance Reserpine in spring 2007. In America, Deußer was given a starting ban for 3 months.

The German federation prohibited him from starting at national and international shows for 5 months. The judge in Münster found this measure in contradiction to the regulations of the national equestrian alliance.

For Deußer, the good news came just in time for him to participate in the important classes, amongst which the Global Champions Tour on Saturday.

Directly after hearing the favorable verdict, he loaded his horses in Valkenswaard and left for Northern-Germany.
