CSIO 5* La Baule: René Lopez takes two out of three!

There were three competitions held on the opening day of the CSIO5* International Jumping of France.

The Trophy Echo de la Presqu’Ile, a Table A against the clock, was the opening class of the day won by the French rider, Franck Schillewaert and his horse, Norway de la Lande. Christine McCrea (USA) and Avenir were in second place followed her compatriot, Ashlee Bond and Chivas Z.

The second class of the day was the Trophy Ouest-France, a Table C competition and a preparation class for Saturday’s Derby Meeting of the Pays de la Loire. The Colombian René Lopez had the fastest time, winning with his Netscape du Mirador. Frédéric Busquet (FRA) and Bjussica T placed 2nd and the American Rich Fellers and Mcguinness were 3rd.

The day closed with the Trophy Conseil Général of the Loire-Atlantique, a Table A with a jump-off. And once again, the Colombian, René Lopez, this time riding Noblesse des Tess, won again! Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) and Luccianno HN placed 2nd followed by Rich Fellers (USA) and Flexible.
