Cluster of excellence Global Champions Tour Chantilly

Together with the CSIO in Rome, Piazza di Siena, the CSI5* in Chantilly belongs to the international show jumping events that have the priority to take place in a unique historical setting with extraordinary arenas.

The fabulous Grand Stables, with the château just a few steps away, make up the beautiful backdrop in the Chantilly jumping. Apart from the special scenography, it is also one of the most beautiful sporting events that France has to offer.

As a stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour, Chantilly is part of the most prestigious circuit of show jumping. the “GCT” takes place on three continents, in thirteen cities, goes all the way to Shanghai and finds its culmination in the Qatari arena of Doha, on 23rd November. Every stage is a Grand Prix with a prize money of €285.000 (€95.000 for the winner) and points that are added to a general ranking: at the end of the circuit, in Doha, the eighteen best riders will share a prize money of €1.000.000.

The two dominating equestrian nations, France and Germany, have the privilege to host two stages each. The first French stage will take place in Cannes on 15th June; in July the spectators will come to Chantilly to watch the world’s best riders in the second French stage.

Whoever has been to a GCT stage knows that the word “best” is not exaggerated: 28 of the world’s Top 30 and 9 of the Top 10 riders will be competing against each other in the Meautry arena! There are but a few sporting events in France with an equally big presence of the international elite in one event! Chantilly is thus the only jumping in the world that offers a combination of a unique setting and the highest possible level of sport, with a bonus that is also very particular to the event: the access is free.
