Brilliant start of 2015 Auction Year

The Verden January Auction started off lively as the high-quality collection already enjoyed an outstanding reputation before the day of the auction. Customers invested averagely Euro 15,029 in the 69 riding horses. Top-priced horse became the Sandro Hit/De Niro-daughter Sjenna H, sold at Euro 55,000. Horse experts from 14 different nations purchased a youngster – among them many new customers.

The awesome performances of Sjenna H by Sandro Hit/De Niro (breeder and exhibitor: Edeltraud Hähn, Bergneustadt) from Rhineland delighted the audience in the well-crowded Niedersachsenhalle. Auctioneer Daniel Delius accepted the bid of customers from the Netherlands at Euro 55,000 – a fantastic success for the Rhenish breeders following the fusion with the Hannoveraner Verband.

Linus by Levistano/Derwisch (breeder: Anneli Brunckhorst, Hollenstedt – exhibitor: Ulf Plate, Oldendorf) was the best-priced offer of the show jumping collection. Customers from Turkey invested Euro 37,000.

Auction Manager Jörg-Wilhelm Wegener came to a positive conclusion: “The Verden Auction in January provided another example for the fact that the Verden auction venue is a perfect market for opportunities. The offer met the approval of both, professional as well as amateur riders, providing the perfect horse for each discipline. There was a wide-ranging, appealing collection for each customer, also at the different price levels: Riding horses for all disciplines and accounts!”

The price structure was well-balanced: 14 horses were sold at prices between Euro 11,000 and Euro 14,999, the price for 27 Hanoverian horses exceeded Euro 15,000. 32 horses will stay in Germany, 37 were sold abroad. American customers obviously responded to the current dollar strength and purchased six horses.

The next Verden auction will be held on Saturday, March 28. The collection will be complemented by an outstanding foal collection.
