Another win for World No. 1 Marcus Ehning
Seventeen start the Power & Grace Trophy, a jump-off class of 1.55 m in height course.

Saudi Olympian Ramsy Al Duhamy and Ocelot are first out in the jump-off. They have had a smooth path to the barrage, with Ocelot jumping well. In the jump-off Ramsy sets out at a good pace. Ocelot is jumping well and looking smooth. They are making good time, but run just a little wide in the turn to the Orchids at 11a and have it down. 4 faults in 39.43
Markus Beerbaum brings Constantin 24 into the Power & Grace into the class, having crashed out of the World Cup last night. Constantin seems a much happier horse in the first round and attacks the course in a muscular style. They are going well in the jump-off even if they have the curved wall fence down when they jump it on a big angle. There are more problems to come as Constantin is distracted by the Pua Kumbu on the way to the Palms and puts in a dirty stop. They have it down the second time around and Markus has to pull the whip to finish the round.
Estonian Gunnar Klettenberg keeps up the good work from last night. This time he jumps Terror, and easily makes the jump-off. He opts for the steady clear and looked like he would get it. But the last came down and it left them with a 4-faulter in a slow time of 47.68 secs.
Mexican Alberto Michan’s Selle Francais stallion Iva tu du Rouet may not be that stylish in front, but he gets the job done. They made it quite easily to the jump-off. Alberto decides to take his chances in the jump-off. He sets off on a good gallop and holds all the tight turns. His stallion responds and jumps even better. They stay clear, stopping the clock at 38.53 seconds to take the lead.
Two ladies get their go in the jump-off. Russia’s Ljubov Kochetova may not look very stylish with her long rein style, but she is very effective. Ljubov decide on the steady jump-off round but has the 2nd and the Wayang Kulit – Kuda Kepang fence and the last fence down for 12 penalties in 46.85 seconds.
There is still only the one clear round of Alberto Michan’s as Finland’s Noora entti comes into the ring. She is a more stylish rider than the Russian girl. She gives Evli Cagliostro a very good ride to make the barrage and looks just as good in the jump-off. She opts for the safe clear and gets it in 46.20 secs. She books a definite top three finish and some very good prize-money to go shopping in Kuala Lumpur with.
World No 1 Marcus Ehning makes it look so easy. He gets Cinderella into a very good rhythm and simply keeps it through their qualifying round. In the jump-off, he just steps up a gear and cuts all the corners. His turn backs are immaculate and has the crowd gasping. He is so accurate he just rolls down to every fence with Cinderella in that great rhythm and makes it all look so easy. It’s another win for Marcus in 37.46 secs.
