Anky van Grunsven rode an artistic Freestyle test where music, choreography and the horse were in harmony.
They won the class, regardless of the fact that Anky was still suffering from pain after a fall last week.
”I could ride the beginning of the programme at my normal level but towards the end, I started to make small mistakes. However, the judges gave us the highest score,” said Anky.
Ghislain Fouarge, the FEI O-judge had given Anky the highest score for artistic expression and choice of music. The total result of Anky and IPS Krack C was 73.300%. Elena Sidneva and Artax Condor RBB for Russia were the runner up with 72.350% and home rider Nina Pölönen rode Sans Soucis became third marked with 66.850%.
