Alltech Office Opens in Normandy to Celebrate 500-Days to Go

Alltech is marking 500-days to go to the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy with the official opening of its 33rd European office in the host city of the Games – Caen and its third office in France. The inauguration of Alltech Normandy comes as the company steps up their preparations as title sponsor and coincides with a global meeting of Alltech Official Partners in Caen, from April 7-9. Thirty three equine nutrition companies from California to China celebrated the milestone 500-day countdown.

“Through the opening of Alltech Normandy, we will serve more than 10,000 dairy farmers and 3,000 horse breeders in the region. The site of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ is a land that is rich in agricultural heritage and has particular significance to Alltech as a provider of natural solutions for horses and farm animals alike,” said Dr. Pearse Lyons, president of Alltech. “This office will also serve as our headquarters as we countdown 500-days to the world’s largest equestrian event and shows our commitment to the French market as the third Alltech office in France, with offices in Nantes and Paris.”

“The presence of Alltech in Caen further highlights their support and commitment to the region of Normandy. It is appropriate that the new office is located in the former Caen Chamber of Commerce building whose 60-year old edifice is emblematic of the reconstruction of the city and is made of stone sourced from Caen,” said Philippe Duron, mayor of Caen.“It is not only symbolic of Alltech’s passion in everything that they do but also represents new growth opportunities for the region.”

“The Alltech Official Partner Program is a great example of how the Games are showcasing the region of Normandy while highlighting Alltech’s excellence in equine health and performance to a global audience,” said Fabien Grobon, CEO of the 2014 Organising Committee. “By the beginning of the Games, 40 Alltech Official Partners for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 will be telling the story of the Games and Normandy in their own regions.”

“We are making history by hosting the largest equestrian event ever organised in France. We are grateful for Alltech’s local presence and international scope, which are contributing to the Games activation goals that will see the Normandy region welcome more than 500,000 visitors, 1,000 competitors and more than 1,000 horses from 60 countries from August 23 – September 7, 2014,” said Laurent Beauvais, president of the regional council of Basse-Normandie.
