Last weekend Dutch Adelinde Cornelissen won for the first time, the World Cup Final Dressage and on Monday she was already back to work. That is what Adelinde told Rabosport.tv.
Adelinde: ‘Of course I am very happy with this victory but I am also happy to go back to ‘normal’ work at home. The show went well. It was exciting because the German riders were good as well and Isabell Werth is never beaten until she comes out of the arena!
Only when she finished her test I knew that I had won. I like to win a show but it gives me a real ´kick´ to notice the progress Parzival and I have made in the last months. I am so proud of him! We all know he wasn’t the easiest horse in the beginning and now he has proved to be a top horse. I think he knew that he was the best at this show.
In the past he was petriefied when the audience applauded, but now he has grown out of it. The only thing he doesn’t like is the blanket and the rosette. The victory lap on his own he is not fond of it also… Then he wants to get out as fast as possible.’
