During the forthcoming stallion presentation at Saint-Lô, France, (24/02) the Selle Français Stud Book will be paying a special tribute to the stallions Le Tôt de Semilly and Baloubet du Rouet.
Le Tôt de Semilly (x Grand Veneur) aged 30 is one of the most influential stallions in show jumping. This exceptional horse won 22 international and 63 national events. His offspring Diamant de Semilly, Fétiche du Pas, Fidji du Fleury, Flamenco de Semilly e Eurocommerce Vancouver are today approved stallions.
The Olympic champion Baloubet du Rouet (x Galoubet A) born in 1989, has won many of the greatest international show jumping competitions, including several world cup titles and two Olympic medals with the Brazilian team. Baloubet du Rouet is currently also used as a breeding stallion, as well as an active competitor in the show arena. Having been at stud since 1993, he has sired several good show jumping horses including Gitane du Brumans II, Gatsby Vandrin, Gonzague du Rouet, Gershwin de Reis, Balou Grande Z (winner of the 30-day stallion test in 2002 at Neustadt/Dosse) and Balou du Rouet. He is especially popular in Germany, Belgium, and Holland.
