2º Edition of the Lusitano Auction at Paul da Vala

Four hundred guests attended on Saturday, 13th June, the second edition of the Lusitano Auction which took place at the Coudelaria António Palha in Samora Correia (Portugal).

The carefully selected collection of Lusitano horses consisted of foals from top quality Lusitano stallions, Damasco, Namorico, Forcado, Queimador and Limonero.

This years collection included various foals between the ages of 2 to 3 year olds, all of which bearing the breeder's brand “APP”. The price highlight of the auction was for a bay lusitano Xuvisco APP (Damasco RT x Migalha APP) sold to Yeguada la Perla in Spain for 11.000€. The average price per foal was 4,500 €.

Out of the 34 horses presented at the auction 27 were sold. There was considerable interest from abroad as some foals were sold to Spain, USA and Brazil.
