Neumünster will stage the next World Cup-event. Nineteen years ago the first World Cup Freestyle to music in Neumünster was held and won by Georges Theodorescu (by that time aged 60) riding his chestnut Sunny Boy. In that spring in 1987 he finished third in the second World Cup Final which was held in Essen in Germany and won by Swiss Christine Stückelberger on Gauguin de Lully.
Now Neumünster will be the stage for its 20th World Cup-edition. The wonderful showgrounds will all be under one roof in the ‘Holstenhallen’.
On Saturday the 18th of February the Grand Prix will take place, Sunday morning the showgrounds will stage the attractive Freestyle to music.
In 2005 the Freestyle to music was won by Isabell Werth riding 19 year old multi-Freestyle-competing Antony FRH, who said goodbye to the audience last year. In previous editions Isabell Werth did win three times showing Nobilis Amaretto winning in 1998 and Antony FRH in 1999 and 2005.
Sven Rothenberger holds the record in Neumünster winning three times with three different horses: Andiamo (1990), Ideaal (1992) and Jonggor’s Weyden (1997).
