Hosted by world-renowned Lusitano breeder, Victor Oliva, the auction will take place at Coudelaria Ilha Verde stud farm on Saturday, May 22, 2010 in Araçoiaba da Serra, close to the city of Sorocaba.

Oliva is no stranger to the world of international dressage as his own Nilo VO qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games with stable jockey Rogerio Clementino. Therefore, it’s no surprise that some of the ‘star’ auction lots are highly talented for dressage careers at the highest levels.

Bolero VO (by Sol VO, out of Roseira do Top, by Babel) was initially selected for his movement and docility to join Ilha Verde’s driving programme, but this black gelding is now proving his worth in dressage and has a personality that will bring great joy to any rider.

Born in 2006, Canavarro VO is a stunning bay son of Navarro (out of Redação do Top x Emetico), and a youngster whose personality and movement will light up any dressage arena.

The older Veneno VO, born in 2001, is ideal for anyone keen to acquire a talented dressage prospect who has already undergone considerable training. He is a more typical grey Lusitano, by Petronio do Top, out of Queluz VO, and a maternal grandson of the legendary Dragao II.

As always, Oliva’s catalogue includes a spectacular range of Lusitanos, from his own stock as well as lots from highly recommended partners. Youngsters, older horses, fabulous broodmares, some including foals at foot and sold with a choice of stallions for a future breeding season.
