The buyers at the Danish Warmblood Spring Auction defied the financial crisis and purchased a total of nine stallions with an average price of DKK217,778, five riding horses with an average price of DKK127,000, and one pony at the price of DKK120,000.
The first horse presented at the auction, Klebgab's Don Nido by Blue Hors Don Romantic, was sold to a Dutch stallion station for 1 million Danish kroner. The 3-year-old colt is bred by Ms. Anita Kofoed Thorsen and Mr. Flemming K. Skou. He has just been licensed within Danish Warmblood.
In spite of the actual economic crisis, bids flew all over the pista as Klebgab's Don Nido presented himself with great confidence.
It is sensational that a Danish bred colt is interesting to a Dutch stallion keeper.
