Deusser is victorious in Verona (VIDEO)

Daniel Deusser stormed to victory in the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM Qualifier of Verona this afternoon with Stephex Stables’ on form 11-year-old stallion Otello de Guldenboom. As the penultimate combination to go in the jump-off, their time of 36.31 seconds was enough to topple compatriot Christian Kukuk with Just Be Gentle off the top of the podium.

Alain Juffer (SUI) aboard his long-term partner the 14-year-old mare Dante MM posed the greatest threat to Deusser’s lead. Last to go in the jump-off they left all the fences standing in 36.92 seconds to secure second place, relegating Kukuk to third place with his time of 37.31 seconds.
