The WDM promo event in the capital of Estonia is getting ready to start the first competitions on Friday 2 October.
The Tallinn International Horse Show will have its 13th edition again in the Saku Suurhall, the largest event hall in the Baltic states and has a capacity of 10,000 seats. It was host to many big events such as the the Eurovision Song Contest in 2002.
The line-up for the FEI Dressage World Cup competition shows some new and some well-known talented combinations from 9 nations.
Dina Ellermann is defending the host’s country’s flag with Landy’s Akvarel. She is not only riding at the Tallinn International Horse Show, she is also involved in the organization of the event as manager of the show and entertainment programm. She represented Estonia at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen and the 2015 European Championships in Aachen.
Finland is represented by no less than three riders: Elisabet Ehrnrooth (Wizard II), Kira Kanerva (Dorazio) and Anna Von Wendt (Denzel). Most experienced rider is Elisabeth who competed at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la Frontera and at the 2003 European Championships in Hickstead.
Russia is sending two combinations: Tatiana Dorofeeva (Kartsevo Upperville) and Elena Sidneva (Romeo Star). Dorofeeva competed at WDM Vidauban last March and represented Russia at two European Championships (2011 and 2013), at the 2014 WEG in Caen and at the World Cup Finals in Lyon in 2013 and Las Vegas in 2015.
Elena Sidneva needs no introduction she competed at six European Championships, five World Cup Finals, two World Championships and one Olympic Games. She was born and rides for Russia, but lives in Austria.
Charlotte Haid Bondergaard (Roberto des Frettes) and Jennie Larsson (Zircoon Spring Flower) travel from Sweden to Tallinn. Both are experienced WDM riders.
Inna Logutenkova from the Ukraine will ride her horse Don Gregorius. She has her stables in Malle, Belgium and is trained by Sjef Janssen.
Friday the dressage riders will start in the qualifying FEI World Cup Dressage Grand Prix presented by Fortaco and on Saturday they will enter the arena at 12:30 hrs for the FEI World Cup Dressage Grand Prix Freestyle presented by VIAN Group WDM.
