Van Geenberghe claimed The Eroski Center Trophy

In the last minute and unexpectedly the Belgian rider, naturalized Ukrainian, Jean Claude VAN GEENBERGHE with Osta Rugs Richebourg managed 65 points in a time of 46,27s winning today the Eroski Center Trophy, the Accumulator Competition with Joker, at La Coruña.

When the crowd was ready to congratulate the Portuguese Luis Sabino Gonçalves that had established from the beginning a time of 46,59s with a clear round, the Ukrainian rider claimed victory.

The third place went to Dutch Harry Smolders riding Indiana in a time of 47.22s.

This hard-fought course in which riders must choose at the spur of the moment between an easy obstacle or an alternative one, known as the Joker, only 11 participants had clear rounds reaching the maximum score: 65.
