In the afternoon the first official step towards the FEI European Championship Dressage scheduled at La Mandria was overcome, in the magnificent frame of the Sabaudian estate right outside Turin.
The Veterinary Commission, with Italian Alessandro Centinaio as president, Belgian Jean-Elie Hennau as Fei Foreign Vet Delegate and Luigi Fusetti as a member, checked 56 horses altogether.
Four are to be re-inspected tomorrow morning (3 Born, 13 Diabolo St. Maurice, 30 Coryolano, 2 Highlight 36) and one did not pass the visit (34 Areal).
According to the vets’ point of view, the inspected horses were all in very good condition. This is a fact that witnesses the growing attention granted not only to technical matter but also to the horses, their stabling and transportation.
The Fei European Championship Dressage 2007 took its official start today with the draw for the Grand Prix, the competion that will decide the teams’ continental medals that will start tomorrow at 9,30.
The only Italian competitor will be Anna Paprocka Campanella that will take her challenge to get the qualification for entering the big Sunday final aboard Andretti H.
