Saumur: Karin Tebar claims the Grand Prix

Now when the indoor season is done and the World Cup Finals have been held, it is time for new outdoor challenges.

One of the outdoor challenges is the Nations Cup. For France, the official Nationals Cup Dressage is held at the CDIO Saumur, a wonderful venue.

In 2006 German-based Karin Tebar travelled for the first time to Saumur to compete in the National French championships dressage, which she won. Now her victory leads the French team to a home victory for the French in the Nations Cup, a happy start of the season!
Dutch Alex van Silfhout is a happy and faithful competitor in Saumur as well. Last year he reached for the third place mounting Luxform’s Nimbly, now he became the runner up and best for the Dutch.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS SERIES FOR NATIONS CUP DRESSAGE

After Saumur, in June the CHIO Rotterdam in the Netherlands will host another Nations Cup contest. Some dressage enthusiasts would like to see a Nations Cup circuit being developed for dressage as well, just like the Samsung Nations Cup for show jumping is an important series for the show jumpers in the outdoor season. Money is one of the questions concerned.

However, Rotterdam and Aachen are willing to put their energy into the plan for the sake of dressage. “It is time for new developments in our growing discipline dressage”, show-director dressage of Rotterdam Dutch international Tineke Bartels states.
